FAI Junior Cup Round One
Shelbourne 0 - 3 Shannon Hibs
Hibs progressed to the next round of the FAI Junior Cup with a hard fought victory over Shelbourne. Hibs took the lead after twenty minutes after a corner was dropped by the Ballylanders keeper and Finbar Neville slotted home from five yards. Darren Whelan saved brilliantly from Ballylanders only shot of the game on 40 minutes to keep the sides level. A great run from Robbie Wall on 60 minutes saw him beat five players before being taken down in the box with Graham Carey burying the penalty. Hibs had a number of chances to increased their lead but were guilty of squandering chances in front of goal until Kieran Hackett finished off a great move in the 80th minute to close out the game.

A disappointing result for the under 13s, who started the match quite well and went in at half time leading by three goals courtesy of Darren Leahy who scored a hatrick. Corbally were much stronger in the second half and ran out comfortable winners.
