Sun 5 Apr 2009 - Park AFC continue to improve their coaching qualifications < back
Fourteen of the Park AFC coaches took part in a FAI Kick Start 2 coaching course this weekend. As part of the clubs continuous training programme for its coaches the club regularly attend FAI accredited courses in order to maintain and improve the standard of coaching at the club. In November over 15 of the Park AFC coaches took part in an FAI Kick Start 1 course, with the aim being to assist coaches to induce children to fun soccer games and FUNdamental movement skills in a well-structured, stimulating and safe environment. The next stage of this development took place this weekend at Parks Riverside Park ground when 14 coaches took part in the Kick Start 2 course, which progresses the skills learnt by the coaches in Kick Start 1. Park now have over 30 FAI certified coaches (trained between Kick Start Level 1 and 2) and 3 coaches who have reached Uefa Youth Development level. The end result of this is that we hope the players increase their enjoyment of playing football and also see their skill levels improve
